Kandy has been a exceptional teacher of gun safety, how to use a gun and when I had never shot a gun before and was scared but now I feel more confident each class I go to. I have learned so much about gun safety and I have enjoyed every class that she has taught and learn more each class attend. I am always telling my friends about her classes and the knowledge that I have learned. I can never thank her enough for what I have learned.

KANDY'S JOURNEY
In the beginning I had no idea what actual firearms training entailed, and no real understanding of how much training and practice was required to become even moderately proficient with a firearm. I was blessed to be introduced to the right teachers at the beginning of my journey. Though my husband had previous firearms experience and had sufficient knowledge to teach me the basics, he knew he was not going to be able to teach me all that I needed. Smart man!
An experienced and wise firearms instructor understands that most people simply learn better from someone who is not their spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, parent, etc.. Throughout this journey I was very fortunate to receive excellent training and mentoring from other professional instructors. I continue to invest in my own training and instructor development.
I have since gone on to become a NRA Certified Pistol Instructor and NRA Certified Range Safety Officer.
I have taught many women who were scared away from firearms training due to very bad experiences with instructors who were unkind, know-it-alls, or were aggressive Drill Sergeant types. Some of those women’s first experience shooting as an adult or as a child was to be handed a firearm by someone who said ‘Here! Hold this gun, point it that way and press the trigger.’ I kid you not! Worse yet are the women who were taught how to hold the gun incorrectly and given virtually no gun safety instructions, so now they have to UN-learn the wrong way, while simultaneously learning the RIGHT way!
My approach to firearms training is to be your conduit to learning and empowerment. ‘I am not a teacher, but an awakener.’ [Robert Frost]. My #1 goal is to awaken the hidden warrior within you. I am your ‘tour guide’ on your journey to finding independence and confidence in your ability to defend yourself and your loved ones.
